I am, for the most part, a self taught artist. For as long as I can remember I have always been drawing. In 1999 I experimented with painting in oil and fell in love with the media. I have experimented in various media such as acrylic, watercolor, and sculpting. I feel that sculpting has enhanced my painting in that working in 3 dimensions improved my ability to work in 2 dimensions. My first media of choice is oil. I like the forgiveness of the media and the myriad of effects that can be achieved in oil. I enjoy doing portraits, landscapes, and illustration style paintings. Over the past few years I have been dabbling in photography as well. My interest in photography has evolved from taking photo references for some of my paintings. ...
