Trouble Sponsoring Page

Hi, I’m trying to sponsor a page. I’ve tried posting a link to my homepage on this site and on Facebook but it won’t let me post any of those links! What’s going on? Is it because I just joined this website or do those particular websites not work for linking to sponsored pages?

Hi Tara I don't think you can sponsor it in this site, it should be linked somewhere else. But I don't know why it doesn't work on Facebook sorry.

Edit: maybe because you are working with a mobile?

They don't work. You need an html enabled, non iframed site to put it on

No social media

Thank you Abbie, I didn't realise no social media

And the link can't go back to your own pixels page, it has to be on an outside link away from the site. The point of sponsoring is for google to find the image, or well search page anyway, on your outside site to boost the google score. But putting it on your pixels website defeats that purpose.

And I don't think it can be a wordpress type blog either. But an actual html website.

If you do not want to spend too much time setting up a web site or even pay for one then the best bet would be Tumblr.

Another good and interesting choice would be Buffer; they have what is known as a start page (even with the free version) it acts as a web page and you can link to three keywords using it (start pages having other benefits such as being used as a smart link). Also Buffer has other benefits as well (such as scheduling tweets) ; very limited with the free version; but say $6 a month buys you a lot.

I have tried both options and they work.

I will others to say (mainly Abbie) to whether there is any real benefit to using this feature.

For FAA yes, as you're sending backlinks to us. For you yes, as you will show at random with all the others sponsoring it.... So will show sometimes earlier than you may normally

However, marketing OFF the site is preferable

Abbie that is what I thought might be the case.

Also I would add that I forgot one of the obvious free option which is googles blogger.

I require some help.
I have the sponsored links working fine, but now want to change which pages I sponsor.
I got the above message that I have reached the Maximum of 10 Links on my personal website. This is correct.
I have deleted the Blog Entries with the 10 links from my website , so that I can start afresh with new sponsorship.
When I try and enter a new Blog Entry on my own website with a new link, I still get advised that it is not possible as the 10 links I deleted are in some way still active on FAA?
How do I get over this ?

Maybe you have to wait a day or two for FAA to update.

If you remove those pages then you don't sponsor those words any more. If I remember right, you simply make a new page with more links.

Thanks to Gill Billington and Mike Savad for your suggestions , but I have not resolved the problem.

I have waited for a day and rechecked my issue and it still exists. So I have deleted my Blog pages where i had posted Sponsoring Links and so basically cleared the decks as I want to sponsor something new related to Xmas out of my portofolio.
I have created a brand new blog page on my personal website, and entered the sponsor code successfully , when I go back to FAA and enter my personal website new blog page link , it is still stating the following:-

'You have already posted ten links on the following website: co.uk. Ten is the maximum per site. Please post this new link on a different website'

So where are these ten links stored? I have deleted the pages on my personal website !
Really appreciate anybody who has a solution..

The main point of these sponsors is so google will rate us higher because there are more incoming links. If your blog only has the ability to write on the main page, then you can only ever have 10. If you had a web page, then you could make all the links you wanted.

Link 1
link 2
link 3

etc. Fill them all up.

But only if your blog supports multiple pages.

Mike,

Thanks for the input.
Here is my personal website:- https://davidburgessart.co.uk/
I had reached my 10 maximum links as advised by FAA a few months ago . Recently when I wanted a refresh of what I sponsoring, I deleted the links on my Personal website.
I then added a new single link to sponsor Christmas Tree Greeting Cards, you will see this on my Blog latest entry of my personal website. Same as above.
But, FAA still states that 'You have already posted ten links on the following website: co.uk. Ten is the maximum per site. Please post this new link on a different website'
It appears, that FAA is still storing the previous sponsored links from my website which I have deleted.
Can FAA fix this? It seems that when an external sponsored link is deleted etc, then FAA does not recognize this.

As long as you can upload new links to that page, you can sponsor as much as you want. There is no point in erasing the old ones because you no long will show up under those keywords. They don't even have to connect the front page, mine never did. But you need them there. Faa can fix it, but it used to be like 25 links per page. I don't work for the site, you can write to tech.

But they will tell you what I am - just upload a bunch of link1,2,3 etc pages and forward the url to one of those pages. But I also wouldn't worry too much since its not like your work will be on that url if someone clicks on it. It might be, but it might not be. You are simply posting a link to the search and may actually be advertising someone else. Its a much better idea to link directly to your own work.

Mike,

Thanks for your comments.
I think I will write to FAA tech. The error message I am getting when trying to post my website link back into FAA sponsor pop-up is reaching the maximum of 10 on my site, not my page. It appears that the root of the site is being used for the 10 max links ie davidburgessart.co.uk, not the pages themselves.
Here is the error message :- You have already posted ten links on the following website: co.uk. Ten is the maximum per site. Please post this new link on a different website'

But are you not putting each of the links on the page and then sourcing those words to those links? Or are you just putting in the root address as your link? Because you don't need 100's of websites. Like it would look like

in my case, if I had a webpage - mikesavad.com/link1.htm then 10 links would be on that page. Then mikesavad.com/link2.htm and another 10. And you would have hundreds like that.

It shouldn't just be mikesavad.com and that's it. I think the wording on that page is off, the thought of needing dozens of websites doesn't make sense.

Mike,

My experience is that the limit of 10 is across my whole website, not per page as you describe. I thought it would work as you describe, but it doesnt.
And also to refresh my sponsorship page type, I have created space by deleting my 10 existing links and then trying to create new links for xmas products, but FAA still has in its system the links I have now deleted from my site.
I have raised the concern with FAA tech support and awaiting a response

I kind of don't think it will be fixed. Do you have on your page multiple link pages? That's the main question. Page 1, 2, 3 etc? That have links on it?

David, Mike is not a staff member so does not know what will be fixed or not. I have informed Sean about this already and he will take a look when he is in next

Abbie,

Thank you.
I dont have an issue with the 10 sponsorship links across my whole website ( I dont really want more than this anyway). It is the not being able to refresh them with different product/theme pages from FAA that is the problem as described above even after deletion .

No worries, I have sent him a message and he will sort something when he gets back in
