Artist's Description
Burney Falls is a waterfall on in McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, Shasta County, California. The water comes from underground springs above and at the falls, which are 129 feet high, and provides an almost constant flow. The falls were called "the Eighth Wonder of the World" by President Theodore Roosevelt, and were declared a National Natural Landmark in December 1984. Burney Falls, which is not the highest or largest waterfall in the state, but possibly the most beautiful.
About Jamie Pham
I am a full-time freelance photographer based out of Los Angeles, specializing in landscapes and nature. I am also the staff photographer at the Los Angeles Zoo and my photography can be seen regularly published in the Zoo Magazine, website and various other marketing materials. With a background in animal behavior and marine biology from UCLA, I had always envisioned myself as a Professor teaching and conducting research, but instead I opted to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion for photography. I am so happy, glad, and proud that it has become a reality.
