Meaning behind the art: September 27th was a lunar eclipse and big harvest full moon. When these happen they call it a Blood Moons. Now today I went and hung my exhibit at the Addison Center for the Arts and when I came home it was time for lunch and then I debated on doing Tack Down Tuesday. Hard to give in and not do it. So I went to the studio and started. The thing is I was just feeling like nothing was coming or wanted to. I showed up with no place to go. I had to take a break from it and go and do dishes then when I came back upstairs to the studio I took some sand paper to the surface. This piece was one where I cared but didn’t know where it was going so every time I did something to it I reacted…like it or cover it over…so there’s many layers of acrylic but it was the sanding that got my interest. Did some coloring with my wax crayons on top of the collage papers and I felt I explored this one all the way back into yesterday. Into the darkness and out on the other side…
