This was a farmhouse we drove by in Haast, New Zealand. We had been driving for about 3 hours at this point and although it only 5:00 pm, we could not for the life of us find any place open for dinner. This is one thing to make sure you note before you head to this beautiful Island - It is not a late night place. We finally found a great, very local restaurant right across from this farmhouse. And just as our food was coming out, the sun started melting in the sky and painting anything it touched with a magical hue of color.
Avontuur Photography was born out of a dream, a passion and a sense of adventure. I have been shooting since I was in high school, trained professionally by a New York Times photographer in College and have been shooting professionally on the side since I graduated in 2005.
