#031014-A, "Last Days of Winter" 8 x 8 piece of collage art with a 2� white mat to the final size of 12 x 12 ready for you to slide into a nice 12 x 12 frame.
Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, polymer medium, acrylics, acrylics and glazing printed Kraft paper, painted drawing paper, stamping with homemade stamps and acrylics, wax pastel crayons, sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.
Meaning behind the art: On Sunday I ran away to the woods and while I was there the color blue through the trees was amazing. The sun was out the red leafs rustling on the oak trees creating some great sounds and ther color just popped out at you. Snow still on the grounds and areas of underbrush were showing. Now on Monday early the in the morning hours I spotted a skunk wadding by a big fat rabbit in my neighbors back yard. Then in the afternoon coming back from some food shopping I was waiting at the stop light and witness a Bald Eagle with the white head and tail circling...
About Laura Lein-Svencner
Bio Laura Lein-Svencner was raised in Downers Grove IL not far from her grandfather’s farm and resides now Darien Illinois for the past 30 years. She’s continued with her personal studies in drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking and collage. Seeking inspiration from one artist to another, Laura has pursued her love of paper; this steady pace of exploration has led her to become a member of many local and international collage groups. She also co-founded the Midwest Collage Society which exhibits throughout the Midwest region. Her works has won many awards and most recently the 27th Annual Juried Exhibit with the National Collage Society.
