Waimoku falls is one of the largest waterfalls in Maui at about 400 feet. This gigantic waterfall drops down a sheer lava rock wall into a boulder-strewn pool. Located at the end of the Pipiwai Trail in southeast Mau, it’s within Haleakala National Park in the area called Kipahulu.

I am a full-time freelance photographer based out of Los Angeles, specializing in landscapes and nature. I am also the staff photographer at the Los Angeles Zoo and my photography can be seen regularly published in the Zoo Magazine, website and various other marketing materials. With a background in animal behavior and marine biology from UCLA, I had always envisioned myself as a Professor teaching and conducting research, but instead I opted to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion for photography. I am so happy, glad, and proud that it has become a reality.
