The very expensive stamp that Emmit Stussy, the Parking Lot King of Minnesota, played by Ewan Mcgregor, has hanging behind his desk is the 2 cent stamp with an image of Sisyphus. We first heard of Sisyphus in Season 2, when Moreen, the clerk at the butcher shop, is reading a book about the Myth of Sisyphus.

Sisyphus found Corinthia and made it so that trading flourished there. Eventually he became king by usurping his brother. Founding the Stussy Parking Lot business could mirror Corinthia and that being good for the economy there and ' usurping ' his brother and becoming King could be mirrored by switching the car for the stamps and becoming rich.

Sisyphus thought himself on the same level as the gods and tricked some gods. The gods sent the god of death, Thanatos, after him, who wanted to shackle him, but Sisyphus, again with his sneaky ways, tricked Thanatos by asking how the shackles worked and Thanatos then shackled himself, which caused Sisyphus to escape. In the end though, the gods found him and took him somewhere to push the boulder up the mountain again and again. He was punished for thinking so highly of himself or is this really just one of life's everyday challenges, life itself as a mere mortals on this earth.
